From debuting the alleged Vans’ Wavy Baby dupes to the WD-40 industrial lubricant cologne, MSCHF has made its mark on the fashion scene with its unorthodox pieces. After the Big Red Boot, the Brooklyn collective introduces its “Small Green Bag” in all of its parodic nature.
MSCHF’s microscopic handbag encapsulates the shrinking luxury handbag movement quite literally. The 657 by 222 by 700-micrometer accessory is smaller than a grain of salt as its structure is modeled after Louis Vuitton‘s OnTheGo tote, incorporating its rectangular shape and prominent logo on the forefront.

Notorious for their spoof narratives, MSCHF reportedly did not consult the French luxury fashion house in the microscopic handbag’s conception. Instead, its construction serves as an ode to Pharell’s oddly love for big hats.
“Pharrell loves big hats, so we made him an incredibly small bag,” MSCHF’s Chief Creative Officer Kevin Wiesner told The New York Times.
The handbag dubbed for ants is said to arrive in a sealed gel case mounted under a microscope featuring a digital display to capture the piece vividly in its entirety. Its microscopic 3D printing process utilizes resin materials, with MSCHF sourcing the labor of manufacturers specializing in biotechnology.
Curated for “Phrends,” MSCHF’s piece will be exclusively released at Pharrell Williams’ digital-first auction house on June 19. The Louis Vuitton Menswear Creative Director partners with Sarah Andelman through the Just Phriends collaboration—a collection of over 50 unique lots brimming with rare artistry, unreleased pieces, and those crafted for the auction.
