First known as a basketball shoe sneaker worn by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, it has transitioned into a flexible pair representing the eternal youth and creativity of the past, present, and future generations. It’s the best thing about the Chucks and its sibs; they fit every personality.
But with many styling possibilities surrounding the icon, it would still be cool to at least have a starting point in styling. So who better to give tips than the Converse All Stars – individuals who champion creativity in sports, arts, and culture? Here’s what they had to say during the 2-day Clark Aurora Fest in Pampanga.

Reason to wear: For denim-on-denim or monochrome fits
How to style:
I love a denim-on-denim moment. So for the festival's first day, I did a cropped denim vest bedazzled with shorts and matched it with white Converse platforms.
I can also go monochrome. For the second day, I wore a nude, coffee-colored, and neutral set ‘cause I wanted to go with the refreshing route. Any style that’s either really basic or pushing [the boundaries] fashion-wise works with Converse.

How to style: My fave shoes are the Run Star Hike kasi nag-aadd siya sa height ko. It also goes with everything. I can wear them in shorts, pants, and dresses every day.

How to style:
I wear Converse with denim or loose-fit pants with a baggy shirt. Very streetwear. Mahilig ako sa comfy clothes. I usually get hi-cut shoes because they match my preference for pants.
For your upper, if malaki arms mo, pwede ka mag-sando. Kung payat ka, pwede ka mag-jacket. Pero baggy pants are a solid go-to for either.

How to style:
I wear hi-tops with baggy pants. I don’t have to overthink the style. It’s second nature to wear them to the gym, on stage, or in the mall.
Have one beater and one that you can mix and match with what’s in your closet. There’s a flex when you can wear a Converse that’s so beat up, you look like you have lots of stories to tell.

How to style:
I’m usually an all-black guy, yung mukha kang rakista kahit hindi ka naman kumakanta. Looking stylish gives me confidence, and the best way to match my look is with Chuck Taylors.
Besides the rockstar vibe, wearing Converse with oversized fits is better. It makes the sneakers look edgy.
