H.E.R. surfaced on Super Bowl LVIII, joining headliner Usher in front of the 65,000-packed Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last Sunday, February 11, 2024. Sporting a sleek black-and-white latex catsuit, lug sole platform boots, and Jenny Bird gold frames, she joined the 45-year-old R&B-Pop musician, supplying a guitar solo to culminate his “U Got It Bad” segment.
Around eight minutes into his Super Bowl debut, Usher stepped aside, shining the spotlight on the Fil-Am artist, who then asked the crowd: “Las Vegas, where my bad girls at?”—segueing to the Neo-Soul hit from 2004’s Confessions album. She proceeded off-camera with her metallic red-accented guitar as Usher continued with “OMG,” bringing previous Super Bowl performer will.i.am on stage.
While this appearance marks her first on the Super Bowl stage, H.E.R. previously sang the national anthem during a San Francisco 49ers game at the age of 11. Witnessing her hometown franchise return to the grandest stage of American Football, the “Best Part” hitmaker extended her gratitude to Usher for the invitation to join him on stage, regarding the performance as “THE GREATEST EVER.”
