Californian-bred initiative ISLA Project tributes its Filipino heritage through a Tondo Supply collaboration that subtly recollects its Manila roots. The capsule is draped in the signature muted red-black-white color schemes of the 2018 established Manila district clothing brand, ushered a capsule that coincides with their joint vision and admiration for the rich history along its densely populated streets.
Beyond its timeless persona, Tondo fashions itself as a landmark of the convergence of fashion and music—a stomping ground for creativity. Venturing west, ISLA Project’s fascination for the neighborhood strengthened, keeping tabs on the growing interest and culture in the space.

Among its many streetwear-centric inhabitants, Tondo Supply piqued the interest of the Los Angeles collective, drawing inspiration from Third Flo’s “Tundo” music video released in April of 2023. Given their frequency of recollecting their local roots, ISLA Project reached out to the Hip-Hop/Rap personality, slating their influence on an apparel line that represents the merging of borders, amplifying local sound while remaining true to personal design and aesthetic.
“We put together a close-knit capsule to introduce the collaborative project – the designs were inspired by both brands' aesthetics—one from ISLA's OG logo, flipping it to “TONDO,” with the back print “FOCUS ON THE TRIBE” and the other from Third Flo's lyrics in his music,” ISLA Project tells Complex Philippines.
