Bella Poarch walked the 2024 Gold Gala carpet with an ensemble that may draw familiarity to her hometown of the Philippines, dressed in a custom Filipiniana-inspired two-piece, conceived through the vision of contemporary-bridal designer Vania Romoff.
The Fil-Am social media personality and singer donned Romoff’s Terno, a pink camisa that features the designer’s signature boat neckline, butterfly sleeves, and two bows on its front—said to embrace the “Gen Z-favorite coquette aesthetic,” along with a column skirt and a Marina Raphael handbag.
Nikko Panti, the Fil-Am stylist responsible for Poarch’s current and previous two Gold Gala appearances constantly embraces Filipino designers during her appearances at the “Asian Pacific MET Gala.”
“For the annual Gold House Gold Gala, I always push for Bella to wear something that was designed by Filipino designers. This is the third year I'm dressing Bella for the event, and I've always been enamored by the silhouettes of Vania Romoff's design,” the Los Angeles-based stylist tells Preview.
He continued, expressing Filipino designers' great potential and hopes for local talent to reach international exposure.
“I've said it before and will keep repeating myself because the Philippines has such great and talented designers. I'm just lucky to have been allowed to use Bella's platform to showcase the talents we have. The world needs to be aware of our designers,” he added.
