While Jake Paul is no stranger to the internet limelight, he forges a career in the professional boxing space, going toe-to-toe against multi-sport athletes. Tallying a 9-1 record as of writing, many question “The Problem Child’s” ability to keep up against higher-tier fighters. To add fuel to the narrative, he confidently mentions an exhibition against eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao as another walk in the park.

On an episode of BS w/ Jake Paul, the 27-year-old cruiserweight talks about previous conversations with “Pacman” behind the scenes, shutting down any possibilities for an exhibition. Unphased by his challenge, Paul convincingly believes that the fight’s outcome will result unanimously in his favor, knocking Pacquiao out with one punch, and that the former champion “doesn’t have it anymore.”
“It didn’t seem like very exciting, you know? Like I would just hit him (Pacquiao) once, and he’d just tumble…Some guys still have it in their 40s and 50s, but he doesn’t give that vibe,” he said.
Hanging the professional gloves last September 2021, the former Senator of the Philippines is still eager to set foot in the ring, given his previous intent to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics, and an exhibition rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. reportedly in the works.
Pacquiao continues to build on his hall-of-fame legacy, claiming a unanimous decision victory against South Korean YouTuber/martial artist DK Yoo last December 2022. He returns to action with Thai kickboxer Buakaw Banchamek on April 20, 2024.
