Riddled by a slow start, the Julie Amos-mentored roster remained closely knit to the opposition out the gate, but marched to a 37-22 lead come the half.
With Alicia Villanueva in the driver’s seat, delivering a team-best 13 (on 55.5 percent shooting) and 10 boards, Gilas Pilipinas limited Indonesia to four points in the third as they would push their lead to as many as 43 in the final minutes.
Forward Tiffany Reyes escaped to the top of the arc for three of her nine points, bringing the runway contest to a 73-37 final. Aubrey Lapasaran and Gabby Ramos provided eight markers each, while Ava Fajardo, Ashlyn Abong, and Margarette Dueñas managed seven-point outings apiece.
