ANTA x MPBL Sign 2-Year Partnership

ANTA is now the official outfitter of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) after signing a 2-year deal with the Manny Pacquiao-founded league. Both parties formally signed the agreement at ANTA’s branch in Megamall, led by general manager JP Paglinawan and MPBL Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes.

Paglinawan compares the signing to Nike's effect on the NBA, where the brand is deeply involved with clubs and players, such as signature shoe deals. But for now, ANTA is content with this major milestone.

The partnership is the latest in a list of moves from the Chinese sportswear brand as it positions itself as a premier option in the basketball-crazed country. ANTA has also dipped its hand in the collegiate ranks, backing Adamson University, University of Sto. Tomas, San Beda University, and the College of St. Benilde.

The brand also brought “Shock the Game,” a 4 x 4 league tournament to Manila, which featured 16 clubs, including UAAP juggernauts Ateneo De Manila University and the University of the Philippines.
Outside of basketball, Manny Pacquiao also has a long-running line under ANTA
