Yeezys Are Reportedly Coming Back to Stores Soon

After Adidas released some of its remaining Yeezy products earlier this year, it appears that additional retailers, including global sneaker chain Foot Locker, will soon start selling Yeezy sneakers again.

Rumors of the potential Adidas Yeezy restock first surfaced on Twitter yesterday from @Roszko72, who claims that multiple iterations of the popular Yeezy Boost 350 V2 and the Yeezy Slides will be sold at Foot Locker and other sneaker stores in August.

Adidas terminated its partnership with Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, in October 2022 following his string of antisemitic comments and publicly airing out his dissatisfaction with the brand. Foot Locker followed suit by removing its Yeezy products from its shelves and online, stating last October it would “not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops.”

During Adidas' 2023 Q1 stockholder meeting in February, the brand's CEO Bjørn Gulden confirmed Adidas lost $441 million in the year following its split with Ye. Had it chosen not to repurpose its remaining Yeezy stock, the brand could have suffered $772 million in operating losses.

After months of delibration, Adidas announced in May that it would begin to sell its leftover Yeezy inventory, with a “significant amount” of the proceeds to be donated to organizations working to combat racism and antisemitism.

At the time of writing, Foot Locker and other retailers have yet to confirm that they will begin stocking Yeezy sneakers again, but this post will be updated as more information is known.
