We now get our first on-foot look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”. The pair, which will celebrate the release of the Spider-Verse sequel, takes after the original template for the Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story”, released for “Into The Spider-Verse” in 2018.
“Across the Spider-Verse” modifies the original “Chicago” model by implementing the source material’s comic book aesthetics. The most striking feature is the multi-colored circles on the upper, which takes after the animation style of the Miles Morales-led film.
Otherwise, elements of the “Chicago” model remain largely unchanged, such as the NIKE AIR tongue tags, Air Jordan wings on the ankle, and white midsole and red rubber outsole. The Air Jordan 1 “Across the Spider-Verse” will reportedly retail for $200 (PHP10.8k) in a special movie packaging in May, a month before the film’s release on June 2, 2023, in the US.
