Johnnie Walker promises to “Walk to the Beat of Flavor” during Wanderland’s two-day festivities with a two-story installation featuring merch, games, and prizes for event-goers. The bar offers Johnnie Walker specialty drinks created with Funky Quarters of La Union. Each purchase of the specialty cocktails allows access to the installation’s photobooth, while four drinks or more opens up a gumball machine, where customers can either win shirts, hats, tumblers, or another signature Johnnie Highball serve.
The specialty cocktails are a point of pride for Johnnie Walker. Apart from the classic Ginger and Apple Highballs (PHP 250), the installation features two new serves inspired by music and bold flavors. The Johnnie & Wanderland Smash Highball (PHP 350) boasts fresh flavors, reflecting the vibrant vibe of the festival. Meanwhile, the Johnnie & Funk Highball (PHP 350) is smoky and fruity; a harmonious symphony of flavors that resonate with the soul of music.
According to Merell Beltran, Marketing Manager for Culture & the Arts of Diageo Philippines, music culture is integral to Johnnie Walker’s messaging. Music’s ability to transcend barriers and foster unity aligns with its key message of “keep moving forward”, and partnering with Wanderland was a no-brainer for the brand.
“As a brand that champions a spirit of progress, we resonate with how music and its culture brings together people of all backgrounds – artists, enthusiasts, and more – and this shared passion helps foster connection and inspire individuals to take their own bold steps,” says Beltran.
“We recognize the love for music festivals among Filipinos, and Wanderland provides an exceptional platform to be at the forefront of an event that brings people together.”
To celebrate the collaboration, Johnnie Walker also offers limited-edition Wanderland-themed merch, only available for the duration of the festival.
Apart from Wanderland, Johnnie Walker has had a busy year, launching flagship bars across Metro Manila, such as Pop Up and Brooklyn Social in Katipunan, Quezon City, The Odd Seoul in Poblacion, Makati, and Cinco Barra in San Juan, La Union.
Each flagship bar has been a hub of exciting collaborations and events with local musicians and DJs. In late 2023, Johnnie Walker supported the album launch of Jess Connelly, and the brand is also set to announce a partnership this year with Pool Records – a label co-founded by music producer King Puentespina, better known as crwn.
