New York is renowned as one of the meccas for the convergence of fashion, art, and star-studded figures. It’s fitting then that one of the most prominent Filipino celebrities was spotted along its streets.
Shan Rizwan is a content creator known for his interviews with locals who share their lifestyles. Out of the hundreds of bustling New Yorkers, he did not imagine interviewing Filipino actress Anne Curtis, nor did he immediately recognize her.
The half-Filipino native asked questions about Curtis’ occupation, educational background, and even her earnings as the founder of BLK Cosmetics. Since its upload just last week, Rizwan’s reel has amassed over 156k views on Instagram and 38.3m on TikTok, with most coming from the local fanbase amused over the chance encounter.
In a succeeding clip, Rizwan shared his thoughts on the encounter, calling it “one of the craziest things to ever happen to him.” He then describes Curtis as “down to earth” and entertains the possibility of future collaborations if he ever comes to the Philippines.
