JYP Entertainment broke the news of Chaeyoung’s absence due to apparent health concerns. The agency asked for the understanding of its local fanbase (ONCE) as the decision to sit out the 24-year-old was a means “to protect the health of the artist.”
“We convey this unfortunate news with a heavy heart as we know everyone was eagerly anticipating the show…Thank you again for your anticipation and support for TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’ – Bulacan and we apologize for having to share this news once again,” they mentioned in a statement.
Coming off their Thailand, Bangkok leg the previous week, TWICE reunites with their Filipino ONCE at the sold-out two-night 45,000-seated Bulacan venue. The group’s return to the country is the first since their debut “TWICELIGHTS” concert in June 2019, The Philippine show is TWICE’s final stop before going on a month-long hiatus.
