Taylor Swift isn’t coming to the Philippines – and Filipino Swifties are in for a cruel summer.
The multi-platinum artist announced on Instagram the Asia leg of her ongoing “Eras Tour,” featuring four nights in Japan and three nights in Singapore in 2024. Swift will also stop by Australia for five shows before moving to Europe.
The Philippines, which ranked fifth among Swift’s top listeners worldwide according to data released by Spotify, is nowhere to be found.
The Eras tour has been critically acclaimed for its diverse production, concept, aesthetics, and run time, which reportedly lasts over three hours with a 44-song setlist. It's only natural then that everyone and their mothers would be clamoring at the chance to bask in the experience.
Fan group Swifties Philippines held a massive mall drag performance last May 21 to petition for the singer’s first show in Manila since 2014 as part of her “Red” tour. Filipino Swifties had many reactions to the supposed cold treatment, ranging from the hilarious to the downright furious.
