A new “Harana” is set to charm Filipino theater fans.

After ending its successful and critically-acclaimed run with “Ang Huling El Bimbo” (AHEB), Full House Theatre Company will produce anoher jukebox musical featuring the music of Parokya ni Edgar.

As seen in a clip by Theatre Fans Manila, AHEB’s curtain call saw the creative theme teased the upcoming production with “Harana”, one of the most well-known hits from the iconic OPM band. The screen then flashed “Abangan 2024” and symbols that teased songs like a moustache (“Mr. Suave”), a slice of pizza, (“Picha Pie”), and a guitar (“Gitara”).

Frontman Chito Miranda reacted to the news on Instagram and called it “nakakakilabot”.

There’s no word yet on other details apart from the teaser, but expectations will certainly be high for Full House Theatre Company’s next production. AHEB is the most-watched Filipino musical in history, and the longest-running from Newport World Resorts, with 115 shows in 2018, 2019, and 60 more in 2023. The show has been estimated to have been viewed by 220,000 live audiences and over 7 million online viewers.
