Fil-Aussie Fooligan Kevs Drops 2nd Single “Eshgo”

Fooligan Kevs looks to up Asian representation in Western Sydney

Filipina-Australian Jaemie Dela Pena (JDP) has continued the hype with the newly introduced moniker ‘Fooligan Kevs.’

The rapper/comedian has just released the second single, “Eshgo,” from the project/alter ego. The track is available now via Whatslively Records and all streaming platforms.

“Eshgo” showcases what Fooligan Kevs does best – rap. No fun and games, just bars and an infectious hook. The new offering comes equipped with appearances from two Filipino artists, who also hail from Western Sydney, and is the follow-up to her debut single “Azn E$hay” – which has clocked over 150 000 streams collectively.

“Eshgo” also landed on several prestigious playlists curated by Spotify in Australia, which is uncommon for a Filipino artist.

Speaking on the character, JDP saw a lack of Asian representation in the music space of Western Sydney – where a big percentage of the population is Asian. The birth of her moniker has led to overwhelming support from the Western Sydney community, taking Fooligan Kev’s TikTok account to over 88 thousand followers and her Instagram to 150 thousand followers in a short time.

With plans to bridge the gap between the global Filipino community and his local following, Fooligan Kevs plans to keep busy with more releases in 2023. Stay tuned for updates on her Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok.
