Filipino British artist Beatrice Laus, aka beabadoobee, recently announced her 14-track “This Is How Tomorrow Moves” record, available across all major streaming platforms come Friday, August 16, 2024. The news of her third studio album was accompanied by the release of the lead single “Take A Bite”—a back-and-forth contemplation between bringing in past negative cycles into something new, but still indulging in the chaos.

“It’s me feeling introspective about my thoughts and unhealthy way of living. It's finding comfort in a familiar place—finding comfort in chaos because that’s what I know. So I bring it into every aspect of my life, especially with relationships,” beabadoobee mentions.

Produced by Rick Rubin and long-term collaborator/bandmate Jacob Bugden, beabadoobee’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves is a testament to her evolution as an artist and a person, integrating her current narrative through song. Introducing a new chapter in her less-than-a-decade discography, the “Glue Song” hitmaker appears to be satisfied with her collection, seemingly more conscious and concrete than before.

“I love this album. I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman,” she said.

In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people's doings, like a blame game. But in this record, it's accepting that there's an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it's childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything, she added.
