As Taylor Swift journeyed across her discography with the 100,000 Swifties in attendance during her Melbourne Cricket Ground weekend last February 16-18, 2024, Filipino drag impersonator Taylor Sheesh headlined Fed Square’s festivities through her energetic lip-synced renditions of the American pop star’s hits.

Sheesh, whose real name is Mac Coronel, strutted Swift’s bedazzled ensemble to go with matching hair, makeup, and backup dancers, almost two kilometers away from the “Eras Tour” venue. The 29-year-old social media personality appeared on the local morning talk show “Today,” following her performance.
First professionally impersonating Swift in 2017, she gained international stardom through viral clips of her mall shows across the Philippines—regarded as a replacement for Manila’s absence on Swift’s 2024 concert calendar.
While Sheesh continues to flourish locally, she was astounded by the turnout of her Melbourne debut, describing Aussie Swifites as “insane and wild.” Regardless if the Grammy Award-winning artist takes notice, she remains grateful to Swift for the inspiration and for “changing her life.”
