The Levi’s x McLaren Racing Collection Is A Partnership Built On Innovation

Levi’s, together with one of the most successful motor racing constructors, McLaren, forge a collaboration built on their timeless heritage and their initiative for continuous innovation.

As long-time key players in their respective industries, Levi’s built their legacy through their groundbreaking 501® silhouette, widely known as the first pair of blue jeans, that continues to progress and age like fine wine. Similarly, the 1966 Formula 1 entrant continues building on its more than half-a-century reign in the sport, delivering state-of-the-art challengers, evidenced through their countless podium finishes.

The Levi’s x McLaren Racing collection intertwines their everlasting greatness, featuring a seven-piece collection that is set to be unveiled at the 2024 Silverstone Grand Prix come the first week of July.

Headling the collaborative capsule is the cropped and boxy Levi’s x McLaren Racing Jacket, sporting a chain stitch embroidery logo on its rear, twill taping at the cuff and hem, a satin liner, and an embossed veg tan leather co-branded patch. Dressed in a similar light wash tone, the Racing Suit possesses a slight drop crotch and a straight leg cut to promote a roomy and relaxed fit. Vintage-inspired patches populate its front, a crackle “McLaren Cars” print spells down its right leg, as a veg tan leather zipper pulls down at the front center.

Drawing inspiration from archival McLaren Racing vintage posters, the three-tone Italian leather Racing Gloves exhibit the eight-time constructor champion’s classic palette, featuring perforation patterns for breathability, a Levi’s® shank for snap closure, a debossed McLaren logo, and an embroidered Bruce McLaren signature on its strap—tributing its Kiwi founder.

Apart from its racing-constructed gear, Levi’s x McLaren’s Heritage Trucker showcases two-toned ‘80s McLaren classic car-inspired patches on its chest in a medium wash persona. The boxy fit staple includes pintucks at the elbows and a center-front zipper backed by red tape. Its timeless Heritage 501® Jeans on the other hand manage a newfound appearance through its left-back crackle print shadow pocket, with a red tape welt zipper at the top, alongside similar patches and co-branding insignias.

Rounding up the Levi’s x McLaren Racing wardrobe is the ‘80s era McLaren race car Constructors Tee and a red-and-white Racing Bandana, reinterpreting the American clothing company’s Western motifs through an 80’s McLaren-esque racing lens.

The Levi’s x McLaren Racing collection eyes a worldwide launch on July 3, 2024, and will be available for purchase on Levi.com.ph, and in select Levi’s® branches nationwide.
