Scottie Thompson Is Going To Be a Dad

It’s only January but 2023 is already the year of Scottie Thompson.

After winning a hard-fought and record-breaking championship series, the reigning PBA MVP revealed he is expecting his first child with his wife Jinky on his socials.

“Grace overflowing.  I'm so excited to meet the person who is half me and half you. One of God's greatest blessings is on its way. I LOVE YOU BOTH!”, wrote Thompson on Instagram on Sunday, January 22. The post added that Jinky is six months pregnant.

Thompson and Barangay Ginebra trumped guest team Bay Area Dragons in a seven-game series earlier in January, which saw historic crowds for any PBA game. As per usual, the superstar’s hustle and timely plays were on full display, leading to a series stat line of 12.6 points, 7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.9 steals.

The win gives the 29-year-old guard his seventh championship since turning pro in 2015. The 2022-23 PBA Commissioner’s Cup also saw Thompson notch his second Best Player of the Conference award. Safe to say more good things are yet to come when the Gin Kings return for the Governor’s Cup in February.
