The Dallas Mavericks have added Jarod Lucas to their NBA Summer League roster, providing the Nevada Wolf Pack alum a chance to prove himself at the professional level.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds, Lucas distinguished himself as one of college basketball's premier shooters. Over his two seasons with Nevada, he averaged 17.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, with a 41.7% clip from the field. His ability to hit the three-pointer was notable, as he connected on 80 shots from beyond the arc last season at a 39.4% rate. Lucas also demonstrated exceptional accuracy at the free-throw line, converting 89.9% of his attempts.

There is a unique connection between Lucas and the Mavericks: his Nevada head coach, Steve Alford, was drafted by Dallas in 1987 and spent four years with the team. This shared history adds a layer of significance to Lucas's journey with the Mavericks.
