Harajuku’s Atmos officially opens its Manila doors on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, through a two-story flagship branch. Located along Bonifacio Global City’s bustling 3rd Avenue, the newest One Bonifacio Mall resident offers general and exclusive pairs across various brands, placing itself as a sneakerhead-culture haven with a growing community bound to stay.

The Philippines first received a sneak peek into the Japanese sneaker retailer through a pop-up installation from March-December 2023, which featured the likes of the Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago Lost and Found,” the Jordan 3 Retro “White Cement Reimagined,” and the Nike Dunk Low SP in the “Kentucky” and “Syracuse” colorways on opening day. Apart from iconic Swooshes, Atmos Philippines offered its arsenal of esteemed collaborations and in-demand pairs from worldwide manufacturers.

Its flagship branch delivers a similar charm while staying true to its Japanese roots. evidenced by a wood paneling interior—stocked from top to bottom with the latest releases and collectibles, as each element embraces the ever-growing sneaker-culture churn.

The second floor houses its version of an “Otaku Room,” featuring a bar/coffee counter, sit-down options, and a turntable/listening area. The space tributes the gathering of kindred spirits and like-minded interests through its atmosphere, shared over conversation.

Atmos Creative Director Hirofumi Kojima and Senior Vice President and General Manager Patrick Walsh addressed the media on-site last Saturday, March 24, 2024, speaking of the brand’s migration to the country.

“Quite honestly, when we look at Asia and have the impact that we want to have, we ask ourselves why haven’t we been here sooner,” Walsh mentioned.

“There’s such a lot of great momentum (in the Philippines) regarding trend, population, economy, and the importance of sneakers. We want to be able to support the consumers here, noting that a lot of Filipinos come to our stores in Japan. So this is our way of truly giving back and understanding that not everyone can afford to fly out to Japan, but they still want to experience Atmos.”

“This is Atmos, and we want to give it to the community in the Philippines,” he added.
