Since embarking on the rainbow steered by Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, the almighty God of Thunder resides in the Philippines to promote the second segment of the Extraction franchise, “Extraction 2.” Settling in Manila on June 5, Chris Hemsworth, with director Sam Hargrave is scheduled to don the red carpet for the Asia-Pacific premiere before retreating to five-other nations in anticipation of the June 16 action-thriller’s debut
Hemsworth reprises his role as the former-Australian Army Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) operator turned black-market mercenary (Tyler Rake). The near-two minute montage of Hemsworth—what looks like plowing through a sea of bodies to protect a woman, follows the events of its 2020 predecessor.
News of his intended arrival scoured social media, seeing Netflix Philippines’ circulars draped across their channels. The trip to Manila marks Hemsworth’s first appearance on local soil, as his younger brother, Liam, visited the country this past decade on an endorsement contract with retail juggernaut Bench.
“I don’t want you to miss out so please come join me. It’ll be fun,” Hemsworth mentions.
