Francis Magalona’s alleged ex-lover and daughter publicly came out to sell a piece of memorabilia of the late Master Rapper.
Abegail Rait and daughter Gaile Francesca appeared on the YouTube series Pinoy Pawn Stars where she pawned a signed jersey, which came with a note and a photo of Abegail and Francis M.
The note read “Abegail Hon, I love you so much” followed by the rapper’s signature. According to the former flight attendant, she was watching Eat Bulaga when she first met Magalona, who asked for his number.
The two would later have a relationship and a daughter, Gaile Francesca—a name supposedly given by Magalona as a play on both parents’ names.
The jersey, which would later be pawned for PHP500,000, was given by Francis M as a memento for whenever Abegail would miss him. Magalona was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2008 and passed away in 2009.
Abegail was emotional in the interview saying that she kept mum about the relationship and their daughter for the past 15 years.
“I know people will judge me. We exist. What we had was real. Me and my daughter exist. Mahal niya kami (He loves us), and that’s a fact.”
Gaile Francesca would later do a rendition of Francis M’s verse in “Bagsakan,” which also featured Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda and Gloc-9.
